Exam Options

Whether you’re a current candidate of LCME or trying us for the first time, this section can provide helpful information for you. Take a look below and check back often for the latest updates.
Recorded Exam

Because of restrictions on face-to-face exams as a result of COVID-19, candidates can take a recorded exam.
Rather than attend an exam at a specified time and place, candidates can now record their performance at a time and place that suits them and simply send the recording to us to be assessed by our LCME examiners.

Online Exam

Candidates can now take their LCME exams online at any time in the comfort of their own surroundings.
All examinations will be with an experienced, qualified LCME examiner and conducted in real-time following the same format, standards and regulations as a face-to-face exam.

In-Person Exam

We know how important it is for music and performing arts students to perform face-to-face. When it is safe to do so, in-person exams will be scheduled at selected exam centres.

Testimonials

“We at Theme send students mainly for the LCM exams. What we like is that the material is accessible and has pedagogical value making the step by step learning enjoyable. Also, apart from the standard testing of elements such as Technique, Performance, Sight Reading and Aural, the Viva section makes sure that the students have really understood what they're learning and playing. What makes the whole experience seamless is the support received from the Local Representative Ms Jovina Smith, who is very committed, prompt and understanding of the needs of students, teachers and parents"

"Kalanjali TLC has been sending students for the LCM exams for Acoustic Guitar for the last 2 years and very recently also had students for the Keyboard exams. Our choice for LCM was largely due the simplicity of the syllabus and easy of applications. The experience as an Administrator has been wonderful, very seemless and systematic. All credit to Jovina for taking care of our smallest requirements and adjusting days and timings to suit our students. This year we were able to successful conduct exams in Kalanjali TLC as well. This has made the experience even more wonderful for students. We look forward to a long standing association with LCM and Jovina."

“I've been working with special needs students for many years which had and has its challenges. Some days are harder than others. This is a job that is more than a job, one that you can leave every day feeling that you are doing something to help make the world a better place. All said and done it became more rewarding with the proactive support given by the LCM examination to help these students crystallize their efforts.”
